Independence Academy Programs
45-Day Program
The goal of this short-term model is to connect students struggling with issues related to their social/emotional, mental health, and/or substance use with specialists in the field of adolescent development, substance use, mental health, and trauma.
Our goal is to transform mindset, promote health and wellness, and cultivate personal growth and development.
We will develop proficiency in social emotional learning competencies, assist in the identification of stress-inducing triggers, introduce effective coping strategies, provide academic supports, and educate students through evidence-based coaching and instruction on personal growth and development, and health and wellness.
All students will develop a comprehensive Individualized Growth and Development Plan that they will begin implementing while enrolled and continue to implement once they return to their district.
All students who complete the program are eligible to attend any after-school, vacation, and summer programming run by Independence Academy for up to one year. Independence Academy staff will complete a comprehensive assessment of each student and provide recommendations for further growth opportunities.
